- You purchase an annual plan on March 1 ($99.99 charged)
- You can request a full refund anytime until March 31
- After March 31, refunds are no longer available
Example 3 - Renewal:

Apple's Refund Process
If you purchased your Shabdha subscription through the iOS app or macOS app using Apple's In-App Purchase, refunds are managed by Apple according to their policies.
How to Request a Refund
Option 1: Online (Fastest)

- Sign in with your Apple ID
- Find your Shabdha subscription purchase
- Click "Report a Problem"
- Select "Request a refund"
- Explain why you want a refund
- Submit your request
Option 2: Through Apple Support
- Contact Apple Support at support.apple.com (opens in new tab)
- Navigate to "Billing and Subscriptions"
- Request to speak with a support representative
- Reference your Shabdha subscription
Important Notes
- Apple evaluates refund requests case-by-case
- Not all refund requests are approved
- Approval criteria are determined by Apple, not Shabdha
- Processing times vary (typically 3-5 business days if approved)
- Shabdha cannot process refunds for App Store purchases
Why This Policy?
Apple requires all iOS and macOS apps to use their In-App Purchase system for subscriptions. This means payments are processed by Apple, refunds are managed by Apple, and Shabdha doesn't have access to your payment information. All refund decisions are made by Apple per their terms.
Apple's Refund Criteria
While we can't control Apple's decisions, they typically consider:
- ✅ Technical issues preventing you from using the app
- ✅ Accidental purchases
- ✅ Billing errors or duplicate charges
- ❌ Simply changing your mind (less likely to be approved)
- ❌ Refund requests long after purchase
Tip: Be specific about any technical issues or errors when requesting a refund from Apple.
Canceling Your Subscription (No Refund)
If you don't want a refund but simply want to stop future charges, you can cancel your subscription:
Cancel Web Subscription
- Log in to your Shabdha account at shabdha.app
- Go to Account Settings → Subscription
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Confirm cancellation
- You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period
- No refund for unused time (unless within the 30-day window)
Cancel App Store Subscription
- Open the App Store app on iPhone/Mac
- Tap your profile icon (top right)
- Tap "Subscriptions"
- Find Shabdha and tap it
- Tap "Cancel Subscription"
- Confirm cancellation
- You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period
After Cancellation:
- Your subscription won't renew
- You keep access until the period ends
- Your account and data remain available
- You can re-subscribe anytime
